Multimedia skills for visually-based projects are a helpful complement to an editor's verbal skills; being able to sketch a document quickly can help disseminate concepts and display an array of creative choices. The purpose of this project was the collaboration of the University of Washington's Department of Engineering with Seattle Girls' School, in order to enhance and support science education among middle school girls who have an affinity for science and technology. This project is one of culmination and assessment for the girls' semester of study in the space sciences, botany, electronics, and math. I produced these web-based checklist pages to guide the students through their preparation for launching on a space journey to Mars, as well as preparation for the landing process.
